Thank you Meli and Augi!!!

So, I was just sitting here having fun selecting my favorite photos from an engagement session, when Favio hands me an envelope and says, ‘It’s from Meli.’
Well, the first thing I notice is the stamp. I LOVE IT!!!!! It was a photo I took of them on Meli’s Bridal Shower.
I open the card, I see these beautiful flowers on the card and I can’t help but just smile. Underneath the flowers ‘Thanks a bunch!’ written on the card!
I hadn’t even read the inside of the card and Meli had already made my day! I proceeded to read what she wrote and my smile got bigger and bigger.

I would have never thought that people would be thanking me for what I love to do and I want to say thank you back not only to Meli, but to all the ladies that email me with the most amazing words of thanks and appreciation to my craft. I truly LOVE IT!!!!!

Meli, thanks again for making my day. Your thank you card could not have come at a better time; it was the perfect introduction to your Bridal Shower slideshow.

Jeannine's Bridal Shower!!!

I am back from Orlando and so ready to share with you my latest teasers.
I am glad I had time to work on my laptop on the way there and back and I want to thank my husband Favio for putting up with my ‘Not so fast’ and ‘slow down’ throughout the whole trip. Lol!

This time is Jeannine’s turn. Her mom and sister outdid themselves with all the planning that must have taken to host this amazing Coed Bridal Shower for Jeannine. All I have to say is: South Florida Ladies sure know how to plan a Bridal Shower!!!!

Jeannine, I know we didn’t have that much time to chat, but like I said before, you looked beautiful and I am happy to see that you and your fiancé had such a great time.

BELLA BARKED FOR THE CURE!!!

On Saturday Favio, Bella (fur-baby) and I went for our second walk for MAKING STRIDES Against Breast Cancer. We are making it a yearly family event to help raise money for the cure. Breast cancer has had a personal impact in my life; my mom is a 12 year breast cancer survivor. It feels great to help raise money for a cure to spare another person from going through what I went through when my mom discovered a lump in her breast.

For all the moms, wives, sisters, daughters and friends that are going through this, I know it’s the biggest battle of your life, but stay positive, we will continue to raise money for a cure.

Here are some photos from the event. Well, mainly of Bella, who was doing her part by barking, walking and running for the cure. We couldn’t have asked for better weather, there was a great turnout for the event and there were plenty of fur-babies also barking for the cure throughout the whole walk.

Let’s make MAKING STRIDES Against Breast Cancer a family event every year and help defeat breast cancer.

What a weekend!!!!!

I have had a super busy weekend and I can’t wait to start posting about it.

Just to give you a little an idea of what I did, let me just tell you that I went to the MAKING STRIDES Against Breast Cancer walk, had 2 very sexy boudoir sessions, a family party, a dance until you drop coed bridal shower and a couple of personal projects. WOW!!! That’s a lot!!!! :)

I am going out of town tomorrow morning for a few days, but don’t worry, I will be checking my email. I will start posting some teasers as soon as I can.

I now leave you with Jessi’s bridal shower slideshow. I showed it to her 3 weeks ago and I haven’t had a chance to put it on my blog. Bad Carmen!!! :)
I am super excited, I can't wait to shoot their upcoming wedding this month.

Christina + Sergio = Sweetness!!!

The first time I meet Christina and Sergio I knew this would be a great engagement shoot. Christina and I have been emailing back and forth since May to see what she was going to wear and the location that would suit their personality.

We decided that Miami Beach would be the ideal spot for their shoot. The weather has been so crazy lately that Christina emailed me on a panic on Wednesday asking me if we should reschedule.
The weather news looked grim; according to the news it would rain all weekend. I know not to believe the weather forecast, so I told her to wait for a couple more days.
Well, Sunday arrived and what do we have? Almost perfect weather, minus the wind of course, but all together it worked great. Yeahh! The whole weekend had great weather, just a few showers in the afternoon.

Christina and Sergio you are the sweetest couple and kudos to Sergio for always looking to see that Christina’s hair was always in perfect place.
I had the best time photographing you guys and I love it that you guys were up for anything and everything.

Well, enjoy the teasers!!! I love the last 3 photos; with the last photo been perhaps my favorite funny image. I don’t know. Do you think they got wet at the end of the last photo? Yeah Baby!!!!! LOL!!!!

Meli’s Bridal Shower!!!!!!!!!

I have been looking forward to Meli’s Bridal Shower for a little while now and on Sunday afternoon her celebration was finally here.
Meli, her mom, her sister and best friend decorated the tables and my jaw started to drop as I saw all the little details being placed all over the tables.
I was in detail heaven!!!!

I quickly started to photograph all the amazing details Meli had prepared and a couple of surprises her sister had in store for her, like an albums depicting some of the mile stones in Meli’s life with the culmination of the engagement of Meli and Augi; their love story has many chapters to be written, but no doubt with an amazing ending.

One of the highlights was the surprise appearance of Augi with red roses in hand and a Mariachi band following his entrance. And what an entrance it was!!!! Oh, and another very nice surprise, as you will see in two of the photos below.
Augi, I just have to say thumbs up!!! Men, take notes please!

BTW, I also loved the JELL-O shoots, injection style!!!

Meli you have made it so hard for me to pick my favorites! I wanted to publish 15 and ended up with 25, and let me tell you, that was after agonizing about which ones to cut out.

I do want to thank you and your family for allowing me to share in your amazing Bridal Shower.

Grand Opening of Mommy Please!!!!

Today my friend Karla is making one of her dreams come true with the grand opening of her baby store Mommy Please.

After several months of working on and off, we have finally launched our new website a couple of minutes ago.

I also wanted to thank my hubby Favio for working and planning the entire website. I know that I drove him crazy every time he asked me for the photos to be included and for all the nitpicking.

Who are these GORGEOUS babies???

Exciting news for Studio by Carmen!!!

A very good friend of mine Karla has just opened up a baby boutique in the South Miami area and she has asked me to be the official photographer for her store and clients.

The name of the store is 'Mommy Please' and it's located across from the Shops at Sunset Place at 1561 Sunset Drive.

I could not have been more excited to hear the news and I hope you visit her store as she has the most beautiful and exclusive items for babies to 6 yr olds.
Ladies she will have those, oh so cute leggings for your little ones.

Here are some sneak picks and more details to come as I will do a whole story when Karla gets ready to celebrate the official grand opening in a week or two.

The first photo is the place where I will be exhibiting my photos. I will change them on a regular basis, so if you are the mommy of one of those beautiful cutie pies, please contact me, as you will be able to purchase those photos at a very good price.
The next two products are one of the most popular items in the few days the store has been open. A diaper cake which is a wonderful gift for a baby shower and a floral bouquet that contains baby clothes arranged in a very unique way. I couldn't believe it when she showed it to me!
Talk about inventive!!!
